Okay. So here we are, it’s the holiday season again. And my favorite one is now over. Thanksgiving. Yes. That’s the one. It seems every year, Thanksgiving gets screwed earlier than the previous year (every year it gets worse) by the beginning of insane amounts of Christmas decor everywhere. I am not a Scrooge. I love Christmas. I just don’t love Christmas parades on November 8th. Eh hem.
So, back to Thanksgiving.
This year, I have so much to be grateful for that my heart overflows with love and my eyes start to roll out rain drops. It has been absolutely amazing. And so worth talking about it for, like, the next year. The abundance of joy, love and grace (AND STRENGTH) my daughter has brought into my life this last year has been the best gift I have ever received in my entire life and more than I could have ever hoped for in many lifetimes.
I have been able to watch her grow and flourish into “Caroline”.
:::I envision her name written in the stars:::
She is talented and funny with a heart of gold and eyes that mesmerize you with her old soul beaming through them. She has motivated me to get on with things in my life I want to accomplish by encouraging me but more importantly, she DOES THE WORK. Every damn day.
I have also had several cool things happen over this last year. Being back in my hometown, year two of a new business and in 2016 I am so ready to launch a festivity that is bigger, better and badder! I have finally been sitting down and writing 300 words (minimum) a day and homeschooling/unschooling my daughter for a year as of next month. I have made some decisions that I have been putting off or struggling over so those are done. I still have a lot to work out and FIGURE out but I believe if I just continue to put my best self out there everyday that there will, indeed, be a chance for a silver lining. And I am all about silver linings.
Caroline and I took a five week vacation and went to Portland, Oregon over the summer. I loved Portland when I lived there but having my girl there with me and watching her fall in love with the city as much as I did was so much fun. Straight up fun. We had a blast. And we learned just how strong we really are together.
I am grateful for the courage and bravery I found in myself and around me this year. I joined the Skinny Dip Society with Katie DenOuden and her superstar experts this year, one of whom was the lovely Morgan Day Cecil who also happens to have a fabulous workshop she calls The Romance and Adventure Pilgrimage. I discovered so much and learned a great deal about myself and am using that information to continue to design my life and never live by default.
I am just barely scratching the surface of how great all this wild freedom and joy has come from making one [small] decision. To get healthy.
At the time, I didn’t know that translated to: I am going to change my whole life.
I am extremely grateful for my closest of friends, my darling peer coach and peer coach over in Australia and all of the lovely new people whose paths I have crossed this year. Cheers.
I am also very grateful for you, my business, my peeps at The Juice Bar and ……
I found a supplement company I LOVE. Yes, I used the word love. L.O.V.E
What’s even cooler than that is that I can share them with you….. for a fabulous discount. I can give you 75% off so you can try them for yourself and I am sure you be as pleased with them as I have been the last couple of months. I recently became an Ambassador for this company because I believe in their concept, I love their products and they are also a partner with Vitamin Angels. So there. Three fabulous reasons to try them out. The 75% off makes it kind of a no brainer, right? Please contact me so we can talk about it.
So, I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving and we will be digging into gratitude a little more next month while the consumerism is full on.
Also: You know the next “thing” is my holiday guide and an email every week for the next five weeks so we can jam through the holidays together. Ummm. Yup. My favorite products and shopping guide going into 2016.
